We are excited to give you our first weekly update on our miracle to become fully funded for our ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators by January 1st. If you didn’t get our newsletter last week, let us know and we’ll send it out to you again that explains the details of our situation.
We have felt so much love and support during the past week. We had more than 30 people email or tell us in person that they were praying for and believing in God’s ability to do this miracle and one person felt called to fast on our behalf. We can not express the encouragement that this gives to us as we journey down this path that is often difficult and demanding on our faith. Thank you to each of you!
We added one new prayer partner to our team and one new on-going financial partner bringing our monthly budget pledges up to 68%. We are excited by this but know that we need to receive pledges for approximately 4 – 5% of our budget each week in order to meet our goal. If you would like to join our team, either prayerfully or financially, please visit our website at http://theshipleys.org/partner-with-us/ to find out how to do that.
Some exciting things that we did this week include:
– Celebrating our Aunt Colleen’s 60th birthday with all of the Giesser family in Sacramento
– Worshiping with Clarksburg Community Church on Sunday and seeing many familiar faces there
– Recognizing Wycliffe USA’s Annual Day of Prayer on Sunday, November 11 with CCC and all our prayer partners
– Launching our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheShipleysInWycliffe
Please visit us there and like our page. That will be a great way to receive the newest updates on Wycliffe and our progress.
Please continue to pray that God will be given all glory as we serve Him now and when we begin our roles with Wycliffe in North Carolina. All of this is about getting the Bible into the hands of people who yearn to read it in their heart language as soon as possible.
Thanks so much!
