Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends!
We missed sending our weekly update yesterday but it seems so appropriate to send out our update today on Thanksgiving Day as we are so thankful for all of you who have prayed for us, loved us, and given to our ministry this past year. We never imagined that we would be missionaries and when we did feel this call, we struggled about what it would feel like to depend on God and other people for our livelihood. We have been pleasantly surprised that it feels wonderful to know we are surrounded by a team of people who care about our family and our ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators so much that they give their time to pray and their resources to us. Praise God for the wonderful way that He works!
God has added one new prayer partner and three new financial partners to our team this past week, bringing our monthly budget pledges to 70% and our prayer team to 45 individuals / families. We are so blessed! One of our financial partners asked to remain anonymous so we thank you whoever you are.
Even more exciting are the new statistics that Wycliffe has released on the progress in Bible translation. Check out our website at http://theshipleys.org/2012/11/2012-scripture-access-statistics/ to read the update.
We are still hoping and praying for God to complete a 52 day miracle and bring our monthly budget pledges to 100% by January 1st so that we can move to North Carolina in January and begin working with Wycliffe immediately after our training in January. If you feel God’s call to join our team prayerfully or financially, please visit http://theshipleys.org/partner-with-us/. We know that people’s need for the Bible in their heart language is an immediate one and we want to help with this effort as soon as possible!
Enjoy a blessed holiday with your family and friends!
