Hi All –
We have some exciting news to share! In the last week, we had more financial partners join our team and 89% of our budget is now pledged. We feel so amazed by God’s grace and the generosity of you all. We did not quite reach our goal of being 100% funded in order to move in time for the training in January, but the reason for that has become clear to us.
Phillip has been suffering from a ruptured disc in his back since October and it is now clear that it is the best choice for him to have surgery to correct it before we leave for North Carolina. We are waiting right now to receive a call from the hospital about the exact date of Phillip’s surgery but it appears that it will be in February which would have conflicted with our training. We plan to attend it at the next scheduled session in July. Proverbs 16:9 tells us “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” We know that all this is in God’s timing and we put our trust in Him.
What is so wonderful is that since we are now so close to having our budget fully pledged, we should be able to get fully funded during the time of his surgery and recovery and leave as soon as he is better.
We will update you all as soon as we know the date for Phillip’s surgery. Please be praying for him that he can endure the pain in his back and leg until this time.
