Answers

  1. How can I partner?
    • The easiest way is to go to http:// theshipleys.org/partnership •You can sign up on-line and select if you are going to partner monthly, quarterly, or annually. You can also set up an Electronic Funds Transfer, where Wycliffe will deduct the amount from your bank account automatically.
    • If you would like to mail in your donation, you can mail it to Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862-8200 and include a note that says: For the Ministry of Phillip and Melanie Shipley #280097
  2. Does Wycliffe pay you a salary?
    • Wycliffe pays our salary exclusively from the designated donations of individuals and churches like you. Therefore our salary is not guaranteed and may change month to month based on what Wycliffe receives on our behalf.
  3. Who do I give to?
    • You give your gift to Wycliffe Bible Translators directly and designate it for the Ministry of Phillip and Melanie Shipley #280097.
    • This is a benefit to you as your gifts are tax- deductible and a benefit to us as Wycliffe handles the bookkeeping process for us.
  4. Will Wycliffe take any money from my gift?
    • Yes – Wycliffe takes a 10% assessment from all gifts made to our ministry. This is to help off-set the costs of the services Wycliffe provides for us as members and that is a big benefit to us so we are happy to share.
    • The only other fee that is taken out is if you choose to pay with a credit card, Wycliffe has to take a 2.5% fee to cover the charges from the credit card company.
  5. How long are you committing to work for Wycliffe?
    • We are not committing for any specific amount of time nor does Wycliffe require us to. We are viewing this as a long-term career change and plan to serve with Wycliffe until we feel the Lord calling us to something else.
  6. How can we be praying for you?
    • Please be praying for us as we adjust to living here, it is quite different than city life in San Jose.
    • Pray for us as we seeks God’s plan for what Church to be a part of.
    • Pray for the upcoming Inter-Cultural Communications training we’ll be going through this summer in July and August and for the many families who will be traveling here to be a part of it.
    • Pray for the projects the IT software development team is working on.
    • If you want to pray for us more regularly, please let us know and you can be a Prayer Partner and receive our monthly prayer updates.
